Chiron: data transmission
In Flanders, IBP operators must send trip data to Chiron (Rittendatabank). Taxidata is not a Chiron alternative: it is the cloud SaaS that performs that transmission and connects your ops to the official flow.
Chiron = government database. Taxidata = software that transmits to it + fleet management.

- Does Taxidata replace Chiron?
- No. Chiron is the Flemish government Rittendatabank. Taxidata transmits your rides to Chiron and runs your fleet day to day.
- Can I test before paying?
- Yes. Every new signup includes a 7-day free trial with no credit card. Set up Chiron (TEST environment) and use the driver portal right away.
- Will my drivers see my prices?
- Only if you want them to. By default, client prices are hidden from driver accounts.
- What about my Chiron history?
- Rides already sent stay on the official Chiron portal. Taxidata starts from signup and keeps transmitting new trips.
- Is WhatsApp dispatch included?
- Yes, for all active Fleet subscribers. From My rides, create a link, send it on WhatsApp: another Fleet account, a partner, or a guest driver can accept — outbound and/or return separately.
- Can anyone accept a WhatsApp link?
- The link you send can be opened by your chosen recipient (Fleet, partner or guest). Receiving platform dispatch or publishing on the marketplace requires a validated account — it is not an open WhatsApp group.
- Is the order giver kept informed?
- Yes: you configure notifications (e.g. driver en route) for the order giver. Live tracking and emails stay aimed at who must be informed — not only the passenger on board.
- Is the showcase website billed on top?
- No. The showcase website is part of the Présence plan at €99 excl. VAT/month: everything in Pro (web booking, embed, marketplace) plus the site, domain, hosting and updates, on a single invoice. You fill in a brief, we publish on your domain.
